This company was a huge help to us when we moved into our house! We had a ton of stuff to get rid of and we ended up filling 2 or 3 dumpsters. They were very easy to work with and everything was taken care of quickly.

This company was a huge help to us when we moved into our house! We had a ton of stuff to get rid of and we ended up filling 2 or 3 dumpsters. They were very easy to work with and everything was taken care of quickly.
I called to get 2 broken down cars removed from our apartment before we moved and he was there within 30 minutes. He saved the day, as we had put it off for so long!
After my car mechanically broke down (the axle attached to my wheel became disconnected), I needed to get it towed. A police officer helping prevent traffic from hitting my car offered to call a tow truck for me. The police deal with tow companies if they can come within fifteen minutes, and they use them on rotation on their call list. My insurance company was taking a long time and my car was by a major intersection. The company the police got to come was Stephenson’s Bowen Removal. I only needed my car towed three blocks but the tow truck driver said his boss said to charge us $160. That seemed like a very high cost, so my dad who had arrived—asked to speak to his boss. On the phone his boss said that with the police that is what is charged. The police officer confirmed that they have nothing to do with what the tow companies want to charge. After the boss was called out on that, he asked what we thought was a fair price. We said $100 even though that is still a lot for a three block tow. The boss agreed to the price and my car was towed off. I got a receipt for the tow and after leaving, noticed that on it the tow truck driver marked “wreck.” My car mechanically broke down and it was a simple tow. No property was damaged and no other vehicles were involved.
Later I was working with my insurance to get reimbursed for the tow and (in addition to the tow receipt) they asked for a repair receipt and pictures before the accident and after. It didn’t make sense that all of this was needed for a simple tow reimbursement. Finally I was informed that the tow company said there was body damage and the front of my car was wrecked when the insurance company spoke to them. It was extremely frustrating that the tow company was repeatedly lying and making everything difficult. I am so glad that I had pictures of when my car broke down, because based off of all the lies this tow company was telling it would’ve been a nightmare with insurance. My insurance could see from the pictures that as stated just the axle got separated from my wheel.
Good luck with this tow company who will lie to you and your insurance company. After calling the company and asking the boss why they were lying, the excuse for marking wreck on the tow receipt was “it’s standard procedure.” It’s their standard procedure to lie. This standard procedure is a huge disservice to the customer.
Also, I’m so grateful that my dad was there because I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried taking more of an advantage of me with the high pricing if he wasn’t…as I am a young female and was very stressed when my car broke down.
I was in a desperate situation and needed a car towed that was not worth fixing anymore the cops put a note on the door and was going to have impounded by the next day I called a few other places and nobody could tow it and tell at least Monday and this was a Friday afternoon But Stevenson’s Told me even know he was almost done for the day he could still come and get it for me and give me a check for a $150 which was more than some of the other ones offered He also left it where we could go clean it out because we had things we needed to get out of it. He really saved the day with us it helped so much hes a good guy I recommend him highly to get rid of old cars Especially if you’re in a difficult situation and have to get moved quickly.
Fast and pleasant service! We needed an old car removed and they were able to schedule the pickup quickly and gave me a check for our agreed upon amount. I was very happy with the service and will recommended them to family and friends.
