Ok, not as organized for a first time visit! The entrance is to the far left of the green fence! As you turn in, you will see the scale to your right! As long as it is completely clear ( no vehicle’s ) on it, drive in bring the front of your vehicle near the loud speaker’s on the left and right! And wait once the lady tells you that your good, all steel and general metal scrap goes to the left in a pile!! Dump that first! If you have copper, brass, or aluminum before you back up to the building near the garage door, you will have to go back in the scale first for the scrap metal!
Then, once they say your good! Then you can pull over to garage door to get your money inside, that is if you don’t have any other stuff like the copper and brass n all..
If you do there are a couple of people there that will get your copper brass or aluminum and put it in a blue bin if it’s a sizable amount and roll it into the scale once you do that they’ll ask for your driver’s license and log it in and then send you around to the window to get paid and you’ll have to show your driver’s license again! So hopefully this is helpful to the newbies just be careful of the big trucks rigs semis they will clip you if they start backing up! We found out the hard way!!
I’ve been to a couple other scrap yards throughout Maryland so this one’s okay!

Go somewhere else if you want true value for your metals. If copper even has a slightest green color to it, they say its #2. Wire any size that has been stripped of all plastic and coverings you get nothing for. That should also be #1 copper. there scale is 14 lbs off and they weigh your metal in portions so you will lose 14lbs every time. If your copper does not look new then it is #2 to them. My father has owned a scrap yard in Tennessee my entire life, I’ve been around this business for over 40 years now. I should have gotten $1185.80 for my metal and only walked out with $700.. I took the time to cut it up and separate everything precisely. I guess they are used to people coming in looking for a quick 20 bucks that pay no attention. But if you have hundreds of pounds of copper i would highly recommend you going elsewhere.

Most ignorant people that work there at 12:29 they told me to weigh out I can’t unload anymore stuff and to get out I can get my money on Monday and I said I’m strapping everything down so nothing falls out when I pull back to the scale he continued to get an attitude with me they shut the garage is on me at least the lady behind the desk gave me my money but I was left with the truck full of copper and aluminum horrible place to go to will never go again

I actually hate this scrap yard, so much, with a passion
Apparently Brass, pure Copper and Aluminum is “sheet iron”?
Apparently #1, #2 and #3 sorted wire is combined as one?
They didn’t even weigh my motors unless they weighed them under sheet iron as well.
The absolute hell?
I was shorted atleast 25 to 30 dollars. I know my metals. I spend hours breaking down a pile of lamps, several of which were nothing but pure brass. Very old lamps. And it wasn’t worth it because they either STOLE my metal, or the worker (fat Hispanic male) didn’t know the difference between metals. Not happy, do not go here.

Although it is an easy place to salvage, and very honest, when I took a load of scrap I told them i would be back with a load of aluminum cans and they said “,alright, see you shortly”. When I returned with the load of cans, a different guy was working, and informed me they no longer take aluminum cans, since the pandemic began. I mean, are they rolling in them or something? My point is, would they have taken them if the same guy was there? It was less than an hour when I returned. A little confusing. But don’t bother taking aluminum cans!
