I spoke to the office manager Amanda. She was crass at first. You can tell she is overwhelmed and under staffed. You will waite a hour or more doing anything here. The staff are often rude, probably because they are over worked and under paid. Corporate is the problem as far as I can see. I guess just try to be understanding with staff.

Truly horrible staff, but the manager does his best to fix their incompetence and deception. The staff will do everything possible to make your purchase painful. I had to wait a week for the car to be delivered after purchasing it, and another two months for the title. While wasting hours talking to rude, and I mean, Rude, office staff who then proceeded to “lose” pretty much everything they were supposed to send, including the title. Buy from anywhere else . . .

I understand customer service can be frustrating but it’s not super fair to instantly have an attitude with someone because they didn’t understand what you meant. I just wanted to confirm if my car had arrived at the location and if I could retrieve my personal items. The tone I was given was just like I was inconveniencing them by even calling. Really not a super great way to treat people who are dealing with hardships. ‍♀️ That’s just me though.

I have bought 2 vehicles from the Salt lake Copart auction and I very much recommend you do not. First of all they lie about almost every vehicle on their website and second when you win a vehicle they nearly double the amount with a whole bunch of hidden fees that they don’t tell you about until you are ready to pick up your vehicle. The first vehicle I bought I won for 1100 and on the website it said it was a run and drive in alright condition I went to get the vehicle and they had me pay 2400 for it and it wouldn’t even start it was a peice of junk. About a year later I really needed a car and decided I would try again. I won a car for 5000 and the website said it was in excellent condition. I went to pick it up had to pay 7200 for it. I bring it home just to find out if had a bad transmission. Do not use this auction house they are liars and will try to cheat you in any way they can.

Copart took custody of my Chrysler on behalf of Allstate insurance after an accident.
The trunk was smashed and inaccessible to me. The insurance agent said. “They got your trunk open but they were supposed to wait for us to clear it.”
When I went to collect my belongings, “Amanda” the office manager refused saying, “you’re not getting your stuff!” Because I refused to sign off on my belongings without having access to the items beforehand and I also refused to sign the liability waiver.
Today I finally went to retrieve my property after the insurance contacted copart and had them remove the items to the office and half my belongings were missing! (Probably the undamaged stuff)
So, we have copart’s photo clearly showing the items in the trunk and then at retrieval some items pictured are missing. Their solution? “Talk to the insurance.”
Don’t do business here. Copart is dishonest!
