Called and the man who answered was very rude and refused to help me. I asked if they had any audis from 2008-2017 and he told me I needed a specific part, make, model, and year. The part I need is in every audi a3, a4, s4, a5, and s5, base and avant, from 08-17, and he refused to help me and hung up
I would not recommend this company!! Very poor customer service! I called because my vehicle was supposed to be picked up but I never received call. Smitty’s representative on the phone said they cancelled the pick up and left a message in my phone. I told them I never received a call. I asked for when they could pick up the vehicle. The earliest they could reschedule my pick up was 5 days later even though I asked if they could do it any sooner since my car was in a public parking lot. They proceeded to say they could have picked it up today. But I again said I did not receive a call or message on my phone. The representative then called me a liar. The representative then proceeded to say, “we don’t want your car” then hung up the phone. I scheduled my car pick up with another company after this conversation.
I was not impressed by Smitty’s. They are a poorly organized operation.. He low-balled me on a price to scrap my vehicle ($200 when everyone else quoted me $350 and above) And told me that, because my car was on such a busy road, there had to be a police presence there and that it was “a real pain in the a** to get anything done on a Saturday.”
I was informed by MD state police that there was no such need for a police presence at pickup. I informed Smitty’s of this and he said he would get in touch with his tow guy. Well, come an hour I call back and he still has not been able to get in touch. I called back again to ask if my tow would be done today and he said it likely wouldn’t.
So, in short, between his being wrong about MD State Police and his apparent inability to get in touch with his tow truck, I waited a grand total of 4-5 hours just to be informed that my car would not be towed and they didn’t know when it would be towed. I was not impressed.
I will never recommend anyone to go to this place very rude and disrespectful how are they even in business!!!!
