Bad experience with this people I bought a engine from them and when I went to return the core engine. The owner took it out of my trailer with a skidloader and as he was picking it up all the oil came out of the engine, he was man he told me that he was going to grab the engine and put it on my hood and let the oil drain out on top of my hood. The reason that I didn’t drain the oil was because the engine that brought from them was full oil not think I took the drain plug off to put a new seal and oil went on my shop floor before I could put the plug back in. NEVER TO GO BACK THERE AGAIN

My husband called St. James Auto Salvage looking for a motor for his 2003 Ford F-150 pickup because the motor was going bad and it would be too costly to fix. They had a 4.6L engine with 90,000 miles on it that came out of a van that had been in an accident. It had a 90-day warranty. He bought it and had it installed at a shop. The mechanic told him after it was installed that it was a junk motor. The motor is bad and does not run. My husband called St. James Auto Salvage and told them about it. They offered to give him a different motor. However, he did not want another one since there was no guarantee it would be good and he was already out more than $1,000 on the first installation. My husband went to the shop and recorded a video of his pickup trying to turn over. He sent the video to St. James Auto Salvage and called them twice. He was put on hold both times and the calls were dropped. He tried calling two more times, but could not reach the person he needed to talk to. He finally borrowed a vehicle, drove out there the next day and asked for his money back. The owner, Chris Hart, said he wouldn’t give him the money back unless the core was returned. My husband told him Hart would have to go get it since he had no running pickup to get it back to him. He showed Hart an ad that ran in a newspaper saying customer satisfaction was St. James Automotive’s top priority. Hart refunded the money; however, we are on the hook for the entire installation charge on the junk motor. My husband asked Hart if they compression check their engines. He said no. Buyer beware.
