Terrible customer service, especially Michael, I was the first in line and he decided to serve someone else, in general very bad service.
I picked up 3 cars on 6/27/2022 and arrived at the office at 4:50 pm and was told that they were already closed, Copart closes at 5:00 pm
Most useless little girl at the front desk. Said we had to sign paperwork that they were not liable for missing/damaged items from the vehicle. Yeah, not gonna happen. When we spoke with the manager she explained it was to release their liability if we get on injured on the lot. Those are two very different things. So after 2 hours we get to get our belongings out of our car and they have cut items off the car instead of just removing them. Then they lost our plates. We are still the titled owner. I hate to Karen but dang. Get your business together. The 1 star is only for the delicious food truck in the parking lot, Burritos La Guera.
After I had checked in and finalized the pick up they charged me $10 for a safety jacket. I didn’thave one and you aren’t allowed in the back without one. I pulled put out a $20 and gave it to him after which he said they don’t give change…I waited to see if he would just offer me two jackets instead of stealing $10 but nothing. Leads me to believe it’s company policy to take advantage of drivers.
The employees stole numerous items from our daughter’s car and completely ransacked the inside. When she called to complain about she was basically told it wasn’t Copart’s problem and to speak with our insurance company. I would suggest everyone going through their insurance to request that their vehicle be towed to literally any other business than a Copart.
My wife is learning how to drive (she’s European) and so we first decided to try to find a used car for her. But after weeks of shadiness on Craigslist, dealerships, etc., we decided to try the “Salvage-Seized Vehicle Auction” thing a try. I bid $800 on a jeep on CoPart, having no idea what to expect — it’s worked out amazingly well. The people at CoPart went above and beyond to help us. Today, we showed up at 4:30pm (yes, we definitely should have showed up earlier on a Friday) to get the title. The folks there stayed late, just to help us. The people on the phone were super nice, honest, helpful. The car got delivered, direct to our door, for $139. Like, this whole experience has been so much more pleasant than any other car-buying experience I’ve ever had.
