They are so strict! I came for a deal and left being robbed I paid $160 for a wheel and a fender saw they added warranty tried taking it off after and couldn’t had to do it before the transaction wasn’t given the option of decline nor to accept the warranty before next time I’ll buy the stuff online new since the price comes close anyway or go to another yard with a way cheaper price the yards at north shepherd charge me $40 for a fender and they take it off for me unlike here more than $60 for a whole fender with out the inner liner and I have to do the work here to take it off my self wth

They charge $3.00 admission and when I went in they tried to charge me more than O’Reilly for a used part. The lady ask a guy what the part was so I thought she made an honest mistake. How wrong was I ! I showed her the part online and she told me that there used parts cost more than brand new parts at the part store. That’s a waist of $3.00 and the time I spent hunting down an working to disassemble the part. Do yourself a favor and shop where they dont practice scamming there customers.

The cashiers here are very rude‼️ it’s as if you’re a nuisance to them for trying to give them you’d money. Also beware that they will automatically charge you access warranty and other HIGHLY UNNECESSARY fees etc. You’ll end up paying three times the price of whatever your buying.

Decent place for used car parts. Watch the check out….they will automatically add 30% for each part for an “extended warranty” and not tell you! Total scam. You automatically get 30 days. Make sure you tell them no extended warranty…the cashier will list the total price with extended warranty and not tell you of the added charge. And the section/rows needs major organizing—no logic. And the parts they added warranty to….air cleaner housing, door brackets, and an armrest. It’s not like they are mechanical or electrical. They either fit or they don’t.

Poor customer experience. Simple math says that 6.99 x 2 = $13.98 but for some reason LKQ thinks that 6.99 x 2 adds up to $17.98 (or so I thought)? I asked the lady at the register to double check and she just wanted to argue with me about it and say that the computers are correct, which is probably true in most cases, but why does it need to turn into a heated conversation? I asked to borrow her calculator and I showed her that 6.99 x 2 = $13.98. I wasn’t gonna sit there and argue over $4, but poor customer experience. **Turns out when I got home and took a picture of my receipt I was able to better make out that the 6.99 was actually an 8.99, just VERY poor ink on the printed receipt. Why couldn’t the lady just look at her computer screen and verify that to begin with? Would have saved everyone a bunch of grief.
I agree with other reviewers that you need to check prices before you go and be ready to challenge some of the random entries that the people at the registers enter in for your parts if the price doesn’t seem correct.
And the warranty… yes it is OPTIONAL! All the prices are increased 25-30% by adding the warranty, so depending on the part(s) you are are buying, you have the option to decline the warranty.
As per the LKQ website: The optional 90-Day Worry-Free Guarantee is added automatically in our system “for your convenience”. If you do not want this assurance, advise your sales associate at checkout and they will remove the optional 90-Day Worry-Free Guarantee from your purchase.
